Catalog description

Pre-requisite: EPID 6523 (MS EPID). The course is oriented towards the study of the behavior of communicable diseases in general and of some of them in particularly, in Latin America and in other countries. Through interactive presentations and group groups, students will learn about some communicable diseases, as well as concepts, principles, methods and procedures related to the organization and functioning of the epidemiological surveillance system. At the end of the course, students are expected to know and apply knowledge about natural h istory and disease transmission to control and prevent infectious diseases of current importance.
