Pre-requisites: BIOE 6525, SALP 6006 This course presents epidemiological principles and methods as an approach to the study of health and disease phenomena, as well as their determinants. The student will recognize the relevance of epidemiology in the implementation of adequate disease control and prevention measures, the planning of health services, and the study of the causes and natural history of diseases. Through interactive lectures, discussions, case studies and practical exercises, videoconferences, interactive multimedia resources and online quizzes, topics such as concepts of causality, descriptive epidemiology, hypothesis formulation, analytical epidemiology and others will be discussed. community.
