Pre-requisites: ENFE 8016, ENFE 8027. Students through independent studies, mentoring, and seminars will design the methodology of their research proposal that adheres to qualitative, quantitative, or mixed -method standards. In this course, students will select their Dissertation Committee and will also take the comprehensive exam. The course will be delivered using hybrid modality. ENFE 8027 -Mixed Methods Research. Three (3) credits. Pre -requisites: ENFE 8007, ENFE 8008. This course focuses on the mixed method research to address research questions employing the combination of both quantitative and qualitative approaches. A theoretical understanding of mixed method will introduce students in the philosophical assumptions a nd components of mixed method procedures to explore and explain complex phenomena in nursing and health care scenarios. This approach will provide students the opportunity to develop an innovative research design that will contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon of interest. The course will be delivered using hybrid modality.
