Catalog description

The course will allow the graduate student to explore foundations of creating and/or modifying healthcare policies that shape the landscape for how patients and providers interact with the healthcare system. The student will understand how lawmakers and organizations are influenced into creating and/or modif ying health policies. In addition, the students will be able to evaluate health practices and policies in various contexts, design methods and lobbying strategies that promote health policy changes. The course uses interactive lectures, group discussions, conceptual maps, role-playing, and others. The course is face-to-face.
