Catalog description

Theories, concepts, and skills related to the family as a unit are discussed and applied in nursing interventions in a variety of health care settings and/or clients’ homes. Emphasis is placed on different patterns of organizations and on the dynamics of i ndividual-family-community interactions. Family disorganization, the vulnerable family, and society mores are analyzed. The students apply the principles of primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention to families or they cope with health -illness situations.
