This theory course introduces the student to the discipline of nursing. It presents the basic concepts that make nursing a profession, the basic roles of professional nursing practice standards and the nursing process as a tool to provide care. It emphasizes the ethical and legal principles, leadership, communication and the importance of teamwork. It provides the opportunity for the student begins to be displayed professionally in the globalized world. It starts conceptually in care planning and nursing in tervention according to the needs identified. The characteristics of the level of care are described.
