Pre-requisites: ENFE 4116 This theoretical course provides basic knowledge of the research process and diverse quantitative, qualitative and mixed designs, as well as ethical and legal aspects when conducting research. Students will be exposed to the Ohio State University College o f Nursing Evidence -Based Practice Integration Model, for the development of clinical PICOT question (Patient, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome, and Time), types of questions and levels of evidence. The course also addresses the development of technologica l skills for the identification and use of different sources of information in order to evaluate them, as well as appraising and synthesizing the strengths and weaknesses of the evidence.
