Critical Care of Patients with Gastrointestinal and Renal Alterations

Catalog description

This course is designed to develop skills for the assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing interventions using a holistic approach geared to the management of critically ill patients with gastrointestinal and renal disturba nces and their families. Anatomy and physiology of the gastrointestinal and renal systems from health and illness standpoints are discussed. This course includes clinical practice in critical care units such as post-surgical intensive and medical surgical intensive care units.
