Catalog description

Through this hybrid course, students will gain an understanding of how to assess needs, assets, and capacities for health promotion and health education programs. Students will identify planning theories, concepts, models, and techniques. They will also de termine the purpose of the evaluation, describe the process, and identify methods for evaluating public health programs. It is expected students develop the necessary knowledge and skills to design a health promotion/education program using elements such a s goals, objectives, strategies, and implementation activities. The course will be offered through face -to-face, synchronous or asynchronous sessions, interactive conferences, group discussions, among other educational techniques. At the end of the course, students will be able to design a Health Education and Health Promotion Program.
