Administrative Aspects of Health Promotion and Health Education Programs

Catalog description

Pre-requisites: EDSA 6405 or EDSA 6564, EDSA 6563. This course is geared to provide students with an overview of the administrative theories and their application to Health Promotion and Health Education programs. General principles of supervision as well as the roles of the supervisor are also included. I n addition, the course seeks to initiate in the students the development of the necessary skills that contribute to assume an effective administrative role. Theoretical component of the course will be given through lectures and group discussions and will be also complemented with practical experiences in public and private organizations that have health promotion and health education programs.
