Catalog description

Pre -requisites: EDSA 6401, EDSA 6476. development of multi-level health communication projects and programs for various settings. It promotes a critical understanding of how messages from interpersonal, organizational, cultural, and media sources affect health beliefs and behaviors and the advancement of public health. Through readings, discuss ions forum, virtual interactive lectures and classroom exercises, students develop the skills needed to become effective health communicators and use mass media strategically to influence public health policy and social change. Students will be able to des ign a proposal for a health communication campaign and will learn how to implement, disseminate and evaluate health communication programs.
