This course discusses the trends and differences observed in migration movements, population distribution, and urbanism within the context of an analysis of social change and development. Sources of data and different methods used in the analysis of each o ne of these demographic aspects are studied. The main current and characteristics of international and internal migration, settlement patterns and the structure and distribution of urban population in different types of societies are discussed. In addition, the development of different theoretical approaches in relation to migration, population distribution, and urbanism are studied.
