Legislation and Public Policy in the Developmental Disabilities – Early Intervention Area

Catalog description

Pre -requisites: DDIT 6505, DDIT 6506, DDIT 6507, DDIT 6508. Co -requisites: DDIT 6509, DDIT 6510. In this course students examine existent legislation and public policy in the area of early intervention and developmental deficiencies. It is discussed the process of formulation of public policy as well as the needed roles and skills during the process. They study strategies to influence and modify the public policy for the benefit of the population to 0-5 years and their family.
