Pre-requisites: none The curricular design of this course is framed in three central axes: digital image, file and communication systems and quality improvement. Through the learning experience, the undergraduate student is related to the modalities of medical images that are produced and sent through a communication and computer network. Among the topics to be discussed are categories of image receptors, matrix of an image, dynamic range, conventional and digital radiology, digital systems, quality control, and others. The cou rse content is studied through lectures, collaborative work, concept mapping, and others. Upon completion of the course, the student must demonstrate a full understanding of the core concepts of digital imaging, quality control, and the discipline's archiv ing and communication systems. This course will be offered in the face -to-face modality. CIRA 3204 – Radiological Sciences Pre-Clinics. One (1) credit. Pre-requisites: none The course is designed for the student to have an approach to their role and professional action in the discipline of radiological sciences.
