Introduction to Radiological Physics

Pre-requisites: none This course the undergraduate student applies various core concepts and principles of physics in the context of a multidisciplinary baccalaureate program in radiological sciences. The focus of the course allows you to study physics applied to radiology. Th e concepts of physics, matter, exponential notation are discussed; photon properties, mechanics, magnetism and electric current, applied mathematical problems, structure of the atom and others. Lectures, discussions, collaborative work and others aid the student to understand the content of the course. Upon completion of the course, the student is expected to demonstrate an understanding of the structure of matter and the atom, mechanics and acoustics, electromagnetic radiation, and the production of x-rays. This course will be offered in the face-to-face modality.
