Radiographic Exposures

Pre-requisites: none This course is designed to provide the student with the opportunity to know and learn the concepts related to the exposure and production of the radiographic image. Essential concepts such as the electromagnetic spectrum, the production and emission of x -rays, the interaction of x -rays with matter, as well as the formation of the radiographic image, the handling and use of radiographic equipment are discussed. In addition, emphasis will be placed on the analysis of the factors that influence the exposure and quality of the radiographic image, its visual and geometric characteristics. Likewise, the critical evaluation of X -rays is included. The course will use conferences, field visits, collaborative work and others. At the end of the course, the student is expected to demonstrate the competencies of a competent professional capable of producing an X-ray of high diagnostic value. This course will be offered in the face-to-face modality.
