Catalog description
This is a graduate course in which the students will plan and develop a proposal for their dissertation or other research project. During the course and under the supervision of a faculty member, the student will select a research theme, write the objectives of the research, and develop the proposal. They will submit the written proposal to the supervising faculty member who will approve or disapprove the completed proposal. This course, in conjunction with a graduate seminar course confers regular student status. BCHM 8527 - Special Topics in Biochemistry. One (1) credit. This will be a short intensive course on a special topic in Biochemistry that will be offered by visiting professors. Recent research findings will be emphasized. The format may vary from lectures with assigned reading, discussions, and/or laboratory exercises. BCHM 8528 - Special Topics in Biochemistry. One (1) credit. This will be a short, intensive course on a special topic in Biochemistry that will be offered by visiting professors. Recent research findings will be emphasized.
