Management Applications in Audiology Practice

Catalog description

Pre-requisites: AUDI 7126 In this course, the student will analyze the issues inherent to the establishment of a practice in Audiology. Emphasis will be given to private practice. Regulatory national and state agencies, patient/consumer rights, worker compensation, reimbursement, m alpractice and supervision of other personnel will be discussed. Budget planning, as well as possible sources of funding available for equipment acquisition will be discussed. Field visits to audiological settings will be performed. Resources and programs available for health professionals initiating the development of a practice in Puerto Rico will be presented.
