Clinical Practicum III

Catalog description

Pre-requisites: AUDIO 7202. This is the third course in a sequence of six clinical practicum courses that prepares the intern to become an autonomous professional in the field of Audiology. The focus of this practicum experience is to have the intern conduct basic audiologic assessme nt independently, and advanced hearing, and balance procedures under direct supervision of the clinical preceptor. The intern will also be performing hearing aid prescriptions, audiologic rehabilitation and counseling under direct supervision of the preceptor. A minimum of 150 clinical practice hours are required to complete the course.
