Principles of Health Insurance and Managed Care

Catalog description

Pre-requisites: ADSS 6525. The course is designed for students seeking a working knowledge of Health Insurance and Managed Care at a time when The United States and Puerto Rico are facing a major Health Care Reform. Students will acquire a working knowledge of managed care concepts as it relates to the Puerto Rico and United States health insurance industry. Upon the completion of the course, students will be able to apply the concepts of Managed Care to their work environment and evaluate the performance and outcomes of health care organizations.
