Catalog description

Pre-requisites: ADSS 6525. This course is designed to serve as an integrative experience of the managerial decision -making process, as viewed through different management -oriented courses of the Health Services Administration Curriculum. The course follows a lecture and discussion f ormat in which the student is confronted with the managerial decision-making process in real world situations, brought by invited speakers. This experience is further strengthened by site visits to selected organizations that serve as a direct observation experience for the topic areas: Organized Integrated Delivery Systems; The Role of Managed Care in Different Reform Proposals; Issues of Health Care Financing, and Leadership Through Human, Capital and Information Resources Management.
