Public Health Program Planning and Evaluation

Catalog description

Pre -requisites: ADSS 6525, ADSS 6516, SALP 6006. Through this course, students will be able to understand how to design and implement public health programs. Likewise, they will apply their knowledge and skills to evaluate the effectiveness of the program outlined. Interactive lectures, discussion forums , applied exercises, and others will be used to examine planning theories, concepts, models and techniques, which are essential for public services management. Through synchronous or asynchronous sessions, emphasis will be placed on the assessment of commu nity needs as the basis of the public health planning process, considered as a dynamic and continuous process aimed at the development of programs and projects in communities or organizations. At the end of the course, students will demonstrate the knowled ge acquired and skills necessary to design and evaluate a public health program. The course will be offered in in-person or hybrid modality.
