COMPUTERIZED INFORMATION SYSTEMS PRACTICE FOR COOP STUDENTS

(three credits per period up to 9 credits/ Full- time work for an equivalent of the semester or summer). Practical full-time experience in Computerized Information Systems in cooperation with a private enterprise, government, or non-profit organizations jointly supervised by the faculty member, the coop program coordinator, and the immediate supervisor at the workplace. INEL/ICOM/SICI/COMP 5318. INTERMEDIATE ROUTING, SWITCHING AND WIDE AREA NETWORKS. Three credit hours. Three hours of lecture per week. Study and configuration of link state protocols. Study of intermediate level concepts such as switching, wide area network or WAN standards, virtual local area networks or VLAN, network design, and redundancy. Presentation and study of strategies for managing and saving address space such as variable length subnet masks and network address translation. BACHELOR IN OFFICE ADMINISTRATION
