Catalog description

Introduction to the general principles and notions of school psychology that integrate both theoretical and applied aspects. Historical development of school psychology and the roles and functions of professionals in the field. Presentation and discussion of critical perspectives regarding the importance of school psychology in the promotion of learning, in prevention programs focused on situations that affect school systems, in the development of intervention based on scientific data, and in their role as support resources in the school community. PSIC 4009. INDUSTRIAL/ ORGANIZATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY. Three credit hours. Three hours of lecture per week. Identification and analysis of the individual, group and organizational variables which help to explain and predict human behavior in the work setting. PSIC 4010/
