Selected topics related to the study of music. PHILOSOPHY FILO 3001. INTRODUCTION TO PHILOSOPHY: MAJOR QUESTIONS. Three credit hours. Three hours of lecture per week. An introduction to the major questions dealt with in philosophy, such as the nature of reality, the nature of knowledge, the nature of moral and ethical behavior, the nature and purpose of government. FILO 3002. INTRODUCTION TO PHILOSOPHY: HISTORICAL APPROACH. Three credit hours. Three hours of lecture per week. An introduction to the major figures in the history of philosophy: Plato, Aristotle, Aquinas, Descartes, Locke, Kant, Hegel, and others.
