Introduction to the study of the mental representations and processes involved in language implementation, including the comprehension, production and storage of spoken and written linguistic information. Survey of sentential, discursive and conversational structure processing models. Exploration of the psychological reality of linguistic representations. Discussion of the contributions of psychology, computational sciences and Artificial Intelligence to problems in the design of models of natural language processing, as well as the implications of findings in psycholinguistics for some controversies in these disciplines. 404 Undergraduate Catalogue 2026-2027
