Four credit hours equivalency for the profesor. Introduction to the study of linguistic meaning and its relationship with syntactic structure according to the principles of truth-conditional compositional semantics. Application of formal methods, model theory, and type theory to semantic analysis. Exploration of the categories of informational content, classes and relations of meaning, predication, quantification, modification, events, presuppositions, and conversational implicatures.
