Discussion of the fundamental principles of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), systems thinking, and decision-making in sustainable engineering. Discussion of the LCA Methodology - goal and scope definition, inventory analysis, impact assessment, and interpretation. Utilization of a LCA software tool to conduct life cycle studies and analyze environmental, economic, and social trade-offs in engineering systems. Evaluation of real-world case studies that integrate Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), total economic valuation, and policy implications in developing engineering solutions.
