Study of the modeling of structures as systems of single and multiple degrees of freedom. Explanation of the calculation of natural frequencies and vibration modes. Use of computer programs for the dynamic analysis of structures. Introduction of the concept of response and design spectra along with their use for the calculation of the response to earthquake loads. INCI 5026 BRIDGE DESIGN. Three credit hours. Three hours of lecture per week. Bridge analysis and design; bridge types, characteristics; design problems.
