Catalog description

Critical discussion and application of GIS in applied social research together with other data collection techniques an analysis in social research. HISTORY HIST 3010. ORAL HISTORY: METHODOLOGY AND TECHNIQUES OF ORAL RESEARCH. Three credit hours. One and a half hours of lecture and one and a half hours of discussion per week. Introduction to the methodology of Oral History and the techniques that will allow the examination of biographical materials in a social context. Theories and methods that make use of interviews will be applied to collect oral information in the first person with the objective of documenting the observation of the past and the sociocultural world in which the narratives are framed.
