per semester. Three hours of lecture per week per semester. A comprehensive survey of the macro financial system, including both domestic and international aspects. It introduces the student to modern capital and money markets theory. It analyzes the operations of commercial banks and other financial institutions as holders of savings and sources of money and credit. It also examines the supply, demand and flow of investible funds, the structure of interest rates and the impact of monetary and other governmental policies on interest rates and flow of funds.
