SUMMER PRACTICUM IN ADAPTED PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Catalog description

One hundred fifty hours of practicum. Practical work and field experience for students in physical education, sports, and/or recreation programs that include persons with disabilities. The student will plan and apply strategies for the teaching of adapted physical activities to individuals with disabilities. The student will be jointly supervised by the Department of Physical Education and a qualified representative from the participating programs. The student will present a portfolio and a reflective journal upon the completion of the work done in the program.
