Catalog description

The course introduces the historical and theoretical background of the concept of Social and Solidarity Economy, and its discussions and applications in the present. The course critically analyzes the limitations of dominant theoretical frameworks and models in economics in the study of contemporary problems such as poverty, inequality, racism, gender inequality and the climate crisis. The course emphasizes how these problems are addressed by theories and models associated with the Social and Solidarity Economy in contrast to the dominant economic models.
