Analysis and discussion of the typologies of crimes with their penalties, according to public policies aimed at the prevention and control of crime from the perspective of comparative and interdisciplinary criminology. Explanation of the distinct theories of crime as a fundamental basis for focusing public policies and the role of the criminologist in the political debate.
