Integrated exploration of the fundamentals of cognitive science as the scientific study of mind and cognition in both artificial and biological (human and animal) systems. Characterization of the mind as an information processor instantiated in the brain that constructs internal representations to which computational procedures are applied. Analysis of mental systems and their computational properties, the algorithms underlying cognitive functioning, and how they are implemented in a neural substrate. Discussion about mind architectures in cognitive science and its relation with findings and methodologies of allied disciplines such as linguistics, cognitive psychology, neuroscience, evolutionary biology, anthropology, computer science, mathematical logic, artificial intelligence, and philosophy of mind. 400 Undergraduate Catalogue 2026-2027 INTD/
