Catalog description

Study of the foundations of the principles that guide multidisciplinary oncology care. It provides a foundation for providing care to patients who are experiencing a cancer diagnosis, its complications from treatment, or problems coping. This course will i ntroduce nursing students to oncology nursing care. This course is designed to provide the student with an understanding of cancer in the local, regional and global context and the need for future nursing professionals with special knowledge, skills and attitudes to provide safe, competent and quality care to people diagnosed with cancer. This course must be passed with a minimum grade of C. This course will be offered in face -to- face, and hybrid modalities. ONCO 5001: FUNDAMENTAL OF ONCOLOGY NURSING CARE I. Study of nursing management and care of the cancer of patient with cancer diagnosis. It examines the care of patients with various complex oncological disorders in different systems.
