Catalog description

six (6) laboratory hours per week. In this course, students are introduced to the nursing process, emphasizing the phase of assessment of the human being and family by means of a previously designed instrument. It includes the communication and interview techniques with emphasis on the physiological, psychological, social and spiritual aspects of the individual and the family. Students learn to assess deficiencies in the needs for SOF universal care, development and health deviation. Furthermore, the course helps students develop their skills in administering physical exams to healthy individuals, evaluating each of the systems of the human body.
