Catalog description

three (3) lecture hours per week. Pre -requisite: EDUC 4501. Study and analysis of human neurodevelopment from the prenatal stage to adolescence, with emphasis on the anatomical, brain and mental systems that prepare the human being for learning through the life cycle. The classification and diagnosis systems of neurodevelopmental disorders in children and adolescents and the emphasis on those conditions that hinder student learning in school and in other educational settings are also studied. This course can be offered in the face-to-face, hybrid or distance modality.
