Catalog description

This seminar examines the communication variables involved in planning and management crises. To do this, the group analyses crisis management cases in which it critically explores the assessment of the organization's vulnerabilities, the environment in which a crisis thrives, the various groups that can influence its operation, and the most appropriate strategies for maintain or improve its reputation. Participants develop a deeper understanding of the range of crises facing organizations and a clear appreciation of the communication tactics that can be used in these cases. As part of the seminar, the group investigates, critically analyses and proposes alternatives that show how effective communication during a crisis can make the difference between quickly resolving the situation or not. As it is a course focused on research, it will have a maximum capacity of 15 students.
