Catalog description

In this course, students will demonstrate proficiency of the nursing process as a foundation of practical nursing with an emphasis on patient care across the wellness-illness continuum. Students will exemplify clinical-judgement and communication with patients and interdisciplinary team members in various health care settings. The concepts of Watson’s Caring Science and Human Caring Theory, and Quality and Safety in Education Nurses (QSEN) will be utilized throughout this course. As part of this course, students will have the opportunity to explore advanced training that is aligned with current industry standards and emerging practice needs.
