Catalog description
This course introduces students to the principles and concepts of educational assessment and measurements. Students develop, use, and interpret a variety of classroom assessments. Fundamental testing concepts and issues are also examined, including scoring, grading, bias, ethical issues, use of accommodations, testing environments, and administration of tests. This course is intended for those persons who have a bachelor's degree and are seeking initial teacher certification and for teachers seeking recertification. Prerequisite(s): Departmental permission required. (Formerly EDU-2050. Students may not receive credit for both EDU-2050 and TED-2830.)
