This course is an introduction to the field of special education. The course covers the education of exceptional students: Historical, philosophical, educational, and legal issues, and current practices in assessment, diagnosis, and teaching. Prerequisite(s): Reading readiness Corequisite(s): TED-2301 completed or concurrent (Formerly EDU 2030. Students may not receive credit for both EDU 2030 and TED 2300.)
