Catalog description
This course is designed to assist students in the theoretical and practical application of the nursing process to meet the health care needs of clients with complex, chronic disorders with multisystem involvement and rehabilitation needs. Physiologic and psychosocial adaptation, prevention and early detection, self-care will be emphasized, with a focus on outcomes management and synthesis of information. Pharmacological concepts will be integrated throughout the course content. Clinical experience will be provided in a variety of supervised healthcare settings. Prerequisite(s): The prerequisites vary based on program entry as noted below: NURS.RN.AS Prerequisites: NUR-1030 , NUR-1040 NURS.PMD.RN.TRANS.AS Prerequisites: NUR-1070 NURS.TRANS.AS Prerequisites: NUR-1060 NURS.LPN.CT Prerequisites: NUR-1050 2.5 class/6 clinical/1.5 lab hours. (Not offered summer.)
