Catalog description

An introduction to the legal and ethical responsibilities of a health care worker. Emphasis is placed on the laws and regulations governing health care, including HIPAA, contractual agreement, malpractice and federal and state legislation governing health care operations. The focus is on professional ethics and standards of care. Prerequisites: Eligibility for EGL-1010, MAT-1120.
