This is an introduction to Telecommunications. Topics to include operation of the US telecommunications system, including the local loop, cellular system, and the SS7 long distance system. Students will also learn about Voice over IP, coding, compression, error-checking, and security systems. Prerequisite(s): INT-1010 Formerly ENT-2830
