Catalog description

This is the medical coding professional practice experience. Students are supervised in a simulated laboratory and /or a professional practice setting where they are orientated to the organization's medical coding reimbursement services. The emphasis is on ICD 10-CM/ ICD 10- PCS and CPT/HCPCS coding systems using encoder and grouper software, data abstracting and data retrieval from indices.
