Catalog description
The objective of this course is to introduce social work students to the practice of integrated behavioral health within primary care settings. Students will gain an understanding of the roles that behavioral health providers play in these environments, as well as the relevant theories and models of care. They will develop skills in engagement, assessment, intervention planning and implementation, and practice evaluation. Since the populations served in primary care span a wide range of physical and behavioral health conditions, students will also learn how to effectively engage with and support patients across various health issues. Prerequisites: SOWK 6304 .
