Nursing Care of Special Populations: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning (LGBTQ): 3 semester hours

This course examines application of the nursing process as it relates to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer/questioning (LGBTQ) clients. This courses provides knowledge, awareness, and skills to undergraduate nursing students that will enable them to explore health needs and provide culturally sensitive and holistic nursing care to clients who identify as LGBTQ. Prerequisites: ( NURS 3301 or NURS 3013) and ( NURS 3326 or NURS 3263) and ( NURS 3416 or NURS 3164).
