Catalog description

This undergraduate nursing course introduces nursing informatics as an integration of nursing, computer science, and information sciences in the support of nursing care. This course will acquaint the undergraduate nursing student with effective utilization of technology and its applications to impact all aspects of nursing care. This course will incorporate a high level of interactivity among students, between students and faculty and with a wide variety of electronically available resources. Collaborative learning with peer and small group activities will be incorporated into course Prerequisites: ( NURS 3301 or NURS 3013) and ( NURS 3326 or NURS 3263) and ( NURS 3416 or NURS 3164).
