Catalog description

This course is designed to allow the undergraduate the opportunity to work with children who have asthma in an environment that emphasizes the wellness aspect of their health problem. The focus will be on the long term side effects, both emotional and physical effects of asthma and how to use the summer camp as an arena to increase education and self-esteem of the child. The clinical learning experiences take place in a camp setting for children with asthma. Prerequisites: ( NURS 3417 or NURS 3174) and ( NURS 3300 or NURS 3003).
